Dr. Douglas Dzema
This Manalapan, New Jersey native grew up a multi-sport athlete playing volleyball, soccer, and basketball. Throughout his athletic career he battled numerous leg injuries. The care and guidance he received from past physical therapists inspired him to provide his patients with the same level of passion and support.
He attended Sacred Heart University where he earned his B.S. in Exercise Science in 2017, where he played on the men's volleyball team. He went on to graduate from Rutgers University in Newark with his Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2021.
While Doug is able to treat various neurological and musculoskeletal pathologies, his primary passion is sports orthopedics. Doug's focus is to enable athletes to overcome their injuries and achieve higher levels of performance.
He currently plays volleyball at the professional level in the United States, exposing him to various high-level training techniques and methods. Additionally serving as an Assistant Coach for Rutgers - Newark's Men's Volleyball Team.
